Christa’s Year of Weekly Giveaways #19 – Boxes of Scraps

In my ongoing effort to de-stash and de-junk, I’m giving away two boxes of fabric scraps to two lucky blog winners this week. After all, one person’s scraps are another person’s treasures, right?

Fabric Freebies

Fabric Freebies

Whenever I have little hunks and chunks leftover from selling yardage in my store, I throw them all into a box. Some of them I keep for myself and some I cut up into scrappy freebies that I throw in with orders.

Lately that box is starting to overflow, so I thought it would make another fun giveaway. Plus I really do have lots of personal stash fabric that frankly, I’m just tired of looking at, LOL! So without further ado…

Here’s how to enter my giveaway for the week:

  • Leave a comment telling me what you would do with a pile 0′ scraps!
  • I will randomly select two winners from all of the entries below.
  • Comments are open through Wednesday, August 21 at 3 PM Pacific.

Last Week’s Winners:

Congratulations to Rachel and Brenda who each won a box of my previously read quilting magazines. I am excited to have some empty shelves now which I’m sure will quickly fill up!

Please grab my button and share it on your blog:

I would definitely make a scrappy quilt for my husband’s grandmother, who is in the hospital. She has always made quilts for everyone but never gets one for herself.

    Thanks for the giveaway <3

Hi Christa: as a newly retired Nana, and taking online courses and those at our fabulous local store, I found my cat “Cookie” sits right by me at the machine on my cooling cottom material. I want to use those scrips to have a cool “cat lap quilt” for each of her favorite places in the house. I can practice my FMQ, she can have a cooling seat and I can catch the cat beautiful calico hairs on here lap mats and quickly wipe off. Thanks so much aka Nanasneedles.

Oh my fingers are itching! Would love to run my fingers through a box of scraps, hehe. I’m saving scraps to make a quilt that has no two fabrics the same. I’d save some for that quilt as well as probably make a scrappy pillow and/or some zippered pouches. Fingers crossed!

Thank you for a super giveaway and a chance to win.

I would love a box of scraps because I am just starting my quilting journey. Today I have my first quilting class. I love your blogs dear friend. Talk to you soon.

I am a new quilter and am having fun making “Quilts for Kids”. This organization sends you a lovely packet of pieces to be made into a quilt for a hospitalized child. They encourage you to send in 1 or 2 extra quilts made out of your stash… which I don’t have yet!
    Love your blog. Thanks!

I’d love to share the scraps with my sisters since they’re getting in to quilting too. Maybe I’ll find some good scraps to make hexie quilts out of!

I have been seeing a lot of scrappy throw pillows. My son is getting married on Saturday and now that he has moved out, I would like to try making a few pillows and using them in my new guest room (as soon as he gets the rest of his stuff out of there).

I’d love to make a scrap quilt for our guest bedroom but don’t have anywhere near enough scraps in my collection now. Thanks for the giveaway!
