Christa’s Year of Weekly Giveaways #40 – Riley Blake Shades Rolie Polie

I love working with tone on tone (nearly solid) fabrics and precuts so I’m excited to announce this week’s giveaway today! One lucky blog winner will receive a Riley Blake Rolie Polie from their Shades collection. This colorful bundle contains 31 precut 2.5″ strips featuring all of the colors from the line.

Rolie Polies are just like Jelly Rolls, but they contain anywhere between 18 to 40 pieces, depending on the fabric collection. They’ve been selling like hotcakes in my precut store because they are so fun and easy to use! The smaller bundles are a little more economical and perfect for making smaller projects.

Contest is open to everyone, near and far. If an international winner is selected, they will be responsible for shipping. Giveaway ends next Wednesday, 1/15/2014 at noon. Good luck and thanks for stopping by!

It’s too hard to pick one! I have never worked with a Jelly Roll before, so I’d like to try. I love Collections for a Cause, Bobbins and Bits, Moda Marbles Warm, and the Kona Solids Sunset Colorstory, and even the charm squares of Moda Morris Modernized attracts me. Yikes. I think if I HAD to I’d pick the Kona jelly roll to make myself go in a new direction (solids). Thank you!

I am a new quilter & have only worked with vintage fabric that I’ve gotten here and there. Love any kind of barkcloth & there is a line of fabric the looks just like vintage barkcloth. I recently saw a fabric line that I loved, don’t know who made it but it was called Rapture

I’d not seen the Daydreams line before – that’s a great layer cake. I usually buy FQs so I get a bigger piece, but I’ve been wanting to try some of the Moda pre-cut hexies.

I’ve just started using precuts and like jelly rolls the best. I don’t have a favorite, but I love bright colors!

  5. J Marks says:

Christa, as always, love your posts! I am a huge fan of the Layer Cake so I would love for you to have a nice selection of pre-cuts in that 10X10 size. Your free motion quilting is just beautiful on your Christmas quilt, I am so impressed. Thanks for sharing your time and talents with us.

I love using the charm packs. You can get (9) 1.5″ squares from (1) 5″ square. With so many different fabrics in one pack, you get a good mix of colors from just one pack.

  7. Betty Jo Chaplin says:

I also like using nearly solids. I’ve been using Sandy’s Solids but the Riley Blake Design’s Cotton Shades would be great to add to my quilts.

  8. Rosie Davis says:

I love all Riley Blake fabrics because of her variety of happy prints.
It’s hard for me to choose but my favorites are the prints Lori Holt uses in her new book.
    Thanks for this giveaway!

  9. Ingrid Woodall says:

I like the display of the items, I sure like the Riley Blake Batik Precuts.
I think the beige and brown batik fabrics are my favorites.

  10. Alexa from Australia says:

I have just visited your new pre-cuts store and think the variety is great! I was looking for a layer cake of solid white, after seeing one used in a U-tube tutorial. I tried your old site, from which I have added lots to my stash, without realizing I needed to go elsewhere. I have always looked for bargains and as I have just retired I am definitely on the lookout for more, now.

  11. Melissa says:

Right now I’d be excited about the Moda Bella or Kona solids jelly roll since I’m planning a quilt with solid color sashing. Thanks, Christa!
