A week later, I’m still basking in the glow of the awesomeness that was QuiltCon. Why don’t we have a giveaway so that I can share some of that awesomeness with you?
QuiltCon Magazine features many of the show quilts plus new original patterns.
First up, is a copy of QuiltCon magazine from Interweave. I was thrilled that two of my quilts were showcased in the magazine so I eagerly bought a copy for myself at the show. The publisher kindly sent me another copy for being a contributor, so I’m happy to pass that along to one of you!
Spiralling Out of Control and Modern X were both featured in QuiltCon Magazine.
Next, I received a bit of swag in my goody bag so I’m happy to offer up this beautiful charm pack of Casablanca by Benartex to one of you!
Here’s How to Enter:
- Leave a comment below, letting me know whether or not you are thinking about attending a future QuiltCon. You can also mention if you were in Austin, or if you followed along virtually!
- I will draw 2 winners at random, one for each prize, and will announce their names on Thursday, March 5th.
- The contest is open to everyone, and comments close Wed, March 4th at 9 PM EST.

I would love to go to QuiltCon but I don’t see it in my near future. I’ve loved seeing photos from the last one. Hugs
I have family in Austin and would go there anytime….also am working on a quilt for Grandsons wedding and Casablanca fabric would work well with it!
Would like to go back to quilt con. Went in 2013′ really nice show
I would love to go in the future! This year I just followed along with blog posts and pictures. Thanks for a chance to win.
Austin is too far for me to consider. I did follow your blog posts and felt like I was there. Thanks!
I would LOVE to one day go! It is not in the cards right now… but some day! (maybe when the kids are out of the house!)
I would love to attend Quilt Con, but I don’t know. Austin is a long way off and I’m not sure it fits into my travel budget. Maybe if it’s somewhere closer.
I live in Texas so really should attend!! Sounds like a wonderful show.
One day when my kids are older and not at that expensive part of life (college, weddings), I’d love to go to QuiltCon, and just revel in my love of all things quilty.
Oh, so luckily, I made it to Austin QuiltCon 2013 and 2015 and oh, so hope to get to Savannah, 2017. And, wouldn’t I be a lucky quilter to win one of your giveaways. Fingers crossed.
I would love to attend a QuiltCon. Maybe someday I’ll get there. 🙂 I follow from Ohio.
I would love to go to a Quiltcon but don’t see it happening. I go via my computer.
I hope to go to th California quiltcon. Thanks for sharing.
I’m looking forward to Pomona 2016!
Would absolutely love to attend..someday. Looks amazing!
I would live to go to a future QuiltCon & enjoyed all of the Instagram posts from Austin. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
I’d love to make it to a QuiltCon! Enjoyed following along online, but would really like to experience or myself!
I have never been, but it is on my bucket list.
I plan on going to Savannah in 2017. I’m on the East coast and was so happy to hear there is one being planned that is a bit closer for me.
I would love to attend next year! Congrats on your quilts in the magazine!!
I attended this year. I live just outside of Austin in a small community. I was impressed by the vendors and the workmanship but I was not impressed with the “modern” quilts. My taste goes to more traditional. I attended the La Grange quilt show this weekend and was thrilled at the quilts that were there. I am not sure if I will attend Quilt Con again, but I did like all the vendors.
Would love to attend QuiltCon in Austin, love seeing all the pictures!
I would love to go someday. I need to convince a friend to go with me.
Would love to go to California next year. Starting to save up. Thanks for a great giveaway.
It would be wonderful to get to an international show like QuiltCon but will have to make do with local UK shows!
QuiltCon sounds like an amazing experience! i followed the Austin event virtually, looking for friends from the Ann Arbor Modern Quilt Guild as well as others. Thinking one of these winters…..
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to go to quiltcon one day. We’ll see if it’s in the cards or not. I did follow along at home via instagram hashtags… but it creates major jealousy. LOL!

I would definitely like to attend quiltcon sometime. I followed it via quite a few blogs! Thanks for sharing a part of it.
yes I think about QuilyCon, but it is only a dream for me.
It all depends on location. I was not in Austin. I have only been able to go to one international event. I would love to go again. The inspiration was very motivating.
I’d love to go to Quiltcon but it’s a bit far from England!
Yes I do plan attending in the future in Savannah. And while I was there, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet you (well, take a photo for you while teaching 2 women how to I/G-Haha). Plus see all your wonderful quilts.
My 3 sisters & I are thinking about attending QuiltCon together in the future. I followed along virtually this year. Thanks.
I was in Austin and will consider going to Savannah in 2017.
I was not able to go this year but next year, when it’s in California, it’s quite possible I will be able to attend. I imagine it would be quite inspiring to see that so many modern quilts in one place. Just looking at the pictures of this years quilt show entries and winners is enough to fuel my imagination until then!
I was not able to fit it into my schedule this year, but I am hoping to attend next year. I really love this modern move in quilting.
I plan on going to Pasadena. I have wanted to go since Quiltcon started.
I wasn’t able to go this year. I had several friends that went and loved it. I’d like to go in the future.
Definitely want to go!
I would love to go to QuiltCon sometime in the future!
I was not at QuiltCon, but several of my friends were. I lived through them this year ! I am planning on going in the future!
No QuiltCon for me this year but I’d love to go in the future! Meanwhile, I watched all the fun pics on IG!
wasn’t able to attend yet,but hoping someday I will get there!
I would love to be able to go to QuiltCon but do not have the luxury of being able to take the time away from work. Maybe in the distant future though! Thanks,
I followed virtually this year. But would consider going to one in the future.
I would love to go one day, but for the time being I enjoy following all your posts and seeing all the wonderful work being done by modern quilters.
Hi Christa. I would love to attend Quiltcon, have to start saving though, it is a long way from Brisbane, Australia. christatheron@yahoo.com
I hope to go one day. It would be wonderful if I could be in the US for a major quilt festival, and QuiltCon 2017 is not too far from places I visit. Fingers crossed!
I have been gawking virtually over all you guys have seen, living in South Africa it would be a far and expensive trip, but still loving seeing all you have seen.
I don’t know that I would actually go, but I love following along virtually.
