Let’s Have a Giveaway – Courtesy of QuiltCon!

A week later, I’m still basking in the glow of the awesomeness that was QuiltCon. Why don’t we have a giveaway so that I can share some of that awesomeness with you?

Quiltcon2015QuiltCon Magazine features many of the show quilts plus new original patterns.

First up, is a copy of QuiltCon magazine from Interweave. I was thrilled that two of my quilts were showcased in the magazine so I eagerly bought a copy for myself at the show. The publisher kindly sent me another copy for being a contributor, so I’m happy to pass that along to one of you!

Spiralling Out of Control and Modern X were both featured in QuiltCon Magazine.

Next, I received a bit of swag in my goody bag so I’m happy to offer up this beautiful charm pack of Casablanca by Benartex to one of you!

I would LOVE to one day go! It is not in the cards right now… but some day! (maybe when the kids are out of the house!)

I would love to attend Quilt Con, but I don’t know. Austin is a long way off and I’m not sure it fits into my travel budget. Maybe if it’s somewhere closer.

One day when my kids are older and not at that expensive part of life (college, weddings), I’d love to go to QuiltCon, and just revel in my love of all things quilty.

Oh, so luckily, I made it to Austin QuiltCon 2013 and 2015 and oh, so hope to get to Savannah, 2017. And, wouldn’t I be a lucky quilter to win one of your giveaways. Fingers crossed.

I attended this year. I live just outside of Austin in a small community. I was impressed by the vendors and the workmanship but I was not impressed with the “modern” quilts. My taste goes to more traditional. I attended the La Grange quilt show this weekend and was thrilled at the quilts that were there. I am not sure if I will attend Quilt Con again, but I did like all the vendors.

It would be wonderful to get to an international show like QuiltCon but will have to make do with local UK shows!

It all depends on location. I was not in Austin. I have only been able to go to one international event. I would love to go again. The inspiration was very motivating.

I was not able to go this year but next year, when it’s in California, it’s quite possible I will be able to attend. I imagine it would be quite inspiring to see that so many modern quilts in one place. Just looking at the pictures of this years quilt show entries and winners is enough to fuel my imagination until then!

I was not able to fit it into my schedule this year, but I am hoping to attend next year. I really love this modern move in quilting.

I would love to be able to go to QuiltCon but do not have the luxury of being able to take the time away from work. Maybe in the distant future though! Thanks,

I have been gawking virtually over all you guys have seen, living in South Africa it would be a far and expensive trip, but still loving seeing all you have seen.
