Christa, are you going to be making any plans to do a class for Craftsy. Two suggested top is to started..
1..Free Motion and Home Machine Quilting
2. Designing a Modern Quilt.
Let me know I be first in line to sign up!

Christa, I have been asked to start quilting classes in our small town here in South Africa. Do you have some info for me as to how to go about this and what you would recommend to start off with eg do you actually sew and get the students to watch or do you recommend that they all bring their sewing machines to the class? Any advice you could give me would be such a help. Many thanks.
Congrats – that’s wonderful! I do a combination of lectures and hands on demonstrations with the students actually sewing in class, so yes they do bring their machines. However, I know a friend of mine who just lectures and demos and has the students sew on their own time – so you could actually do it either way. I usually follow an outline and include a pattern or some class notes for them to follow along and include plenty of time for questions.
Many thanks for a prompt reply! I thought as much, now I just need to settle the nerves!
I’m the treasurer of our local MQG located in Duluth MN…..just out curiosity do you have anything you could send me that outlines the courses you teach and their cost?
Sure! I will email that to you!
i am so excited about the class at John Campbell. that is only about 2 hrs from my home. donna fuller
Christa, will you be teaching any online classes?
I would like to eventually. I just need to get all my ducks in a row first! 🙂
