Hi Christa – I’m going to be in Las Vegas Sept 14-20 and thought I saw that you were giving a lecture on the 15th somewhere, but I can’t seem to find it? Was I dreaming?

  2. stephanie says:

In addition to Quilt Market, Are you also going to be teaching any classes at the International Quilt Festival in Houston this year? I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to take your class and get comfortable with free motion and walking foot quilting

  3. Debi Jimenez (Bielawski) says:

Christa, are you going to be making any plans to do a class for Craftsy. Two suggested top is to started..

  4. Carolyn says:

Christa, I have been asked to start quilting classes in our small town here in South Africa. Do you have some info for me as to how to go about this and what you would recommend to start off with eg do you actually sew and get the students to watch or do you recommend that they all bring their sewing machines to the class? Any advice you could give me would be such a help. Many thanks.

    • Christa says:

Congrats – that’s wonderful! I do a combination of lectures and hands on demonstrations with the students actually sewing in class, so yes they do bring their machines. However, I know a friend of mine who just lectures and demos and has the students sew on their own time – so you could actually do it either way. I usually follow an outline and include a pattern or some class notes for them to follow along and include plenty of time for questions.
