Many of you know I’ve recently become a freelance writer for Craftsy. It’s a fun excuse to write more about my love of quilting and reach a slightly different audience from those that follow my blog. In case you haven’t seen me over there yet, I thought I’d catch you up on the last couple of posts I’ve written.
I wrote a piece about how you can quilt on a regular sewing machine – even one as small as a featherweight! This was a fun followup to a question about my first entry, “tips for free motion quilting.”
I also gave a fun little report about my recent excursion to AQS Phoenix with a few tips on how to enter one of their shows. I’m always pro quilt-show in the hopes that more of you out there will share your amazing talents!
I usually write about one post a week for Craftsy so I still have plenty of time to write here. So far it hasn’t gotten too crazy and I plan to continue blogging (in both places) as long as it remains fun!
How about you bloggers out there – do you write multiple blogs or for multiple audiences? I’d love to know!
I think it is so great that you get to do what you love… and your love for this craft definitely shows in your writing! I have two blogs, but one has been inactive for about a year. It is unrelated to quilting or sewing, and is no longer relevant to my life. Quilting and sewing has become so much a part of my life, it is a big part of who I am now. So all of my focus is on my sewing/quilting blog now, and that’s just fine with me!
One blog to write and several to read. The latter is my favorite although I enjoy receiving comments on my blog.
I enjoy your blog – lots of ideas and beautiful quilts. I’m sure you inspire many (not just me) with your posts. I only have one blog and that’s enough right now! I just have fun with it.
One blog is challenge enough!! My main preference is the actually quilt process and the blog is the journal/”log” of my experiences. I never thought it would be of interest to anyone else!!!! It has been a wonderful journey with new (bloggy) friends tagging along!!!!!!
Just one blog! 🙂
Wish i could have more hours in the day, so I could do an art blog too. For now I am sticking to just one!

I enjoy your blog! I don’t have one.
I do not write more than one blog! I do love the one I have, and cherish the new friends I have made…like you!
