I knew it wouldn’t be long before I was able to offer another fabulous giveaway! This one is sponsored by my friends (really they are!) over at Electric Quilt. To celebrate the release of EQ7 for the Mac, they’ve generously decided to give away a copy to one of you – whoo hoo!

Don’t worry, this giveaway is actually open to everyone – if the winner is a PC owner, you can select the original version instead of the Mac version. No need to go buy a brand new computer just to run the software on (though that’s exactly what I did, LOL)! And if you prefer to have a downloadable version rather than a physical copy, that’s available, too!
Because I’m an existing EQ7 user, I only needed to get the migration kit to switch from a PC to a Mac. However, for those of you Mac users who have been patiently waiting for the stand-alone Mac version to be released, the time is now!
Here’s how to enter:
Just leave a comment below telling me if you’ve ever designed your own quilt before. Or if not, what you’d love to design if you could. This will be a short giveaway timerame, running through Monday, May 5th at 6PM Pacific time. I’ll email the winner and make an announcement on my blog next Tuesday, May 6th.
Good luck!

I would love to be able to design my own quilt…thank you for the chance.
Win an EQ7?! Are you serious? Please enter my name. Imagine the beautiful quilts I will design with this program! Definitely a step up from my sketchbook and graph paper! LOL! Christa, thank you for hosting a great giveaway.
I have never designed my own quilt. I’m a quilting newbie.
I have deigned my own quilt with the help of my daughter…Without her I don’t think I could have finished it.. she has a great design eye…me on the other hand, I ask her advice when I start on a quilt. .Lol
I just made a quilt for my son that I designed myself. And I really need this software as my niece is getting married in APril 2015 and I need to make her a quilt. It will be for a KING size bed and it will have peacocks and lovely things. I have a pictue in my mind but this software would be sooo helpful. Thank you for this opportunity.
I haven’t designed any of my own quilts, yet. But I do have some ideas. I am always drawing and sketching and my husband says–you should make a mockup in our paint program…but I think EQ7 would be much easier to use! Thanks for the chance to win.
I designed a anniversary quilt for my in-laws.
I have designed my own quilt. This was when I was a brand, spankin newbie and didn’t know what the heck I was doing! My little girl loved it and that’s all that matters. 😉
Christa – your blog is so much fun to read. Thank you for sharing with all of us! What would I design? I design with graph paper and colored pencils. Because I travel a lot for work, it is the only way I’ve found to easily take my quilting hobby on the road. It is relaxing and fun, but a copy of EQ7 would be so much more portable!
I have designed several quilts and even the ones I use a pattern for I change to suit my taste. I really don’t like doing a quilt that someone else is doing the same thing.
I have the Quilt Design Wizard and have designed few quilts on that. Now I own a Mac and so I NEED the new EQ7 for it! A great giveaway, Thanks.
I have designed my quilts using paper. I am a Mac user, I would love the opportunity to design on my Mac with the new version of EQ.
I have never designed my own quilt but love working with log cabin blocks and would love to see what I could do with them,
I have made up a quilt; wouldn’t exactly call it designing. Just had some fabrics and decided to throw them together where I could get the most use out of them. I’d love to actually design a quilt. This software sounds perfect and I do have a Mac! Woohoo!
I’ve only ‘designed’ a couple of sampler quilts — basically just chose the blocks in it. Love to quilt and asked for EQ7 for Mac for my birthday. I’d definitely take an early gift from you!
I have not designed a quilt…but would love to give it a whirl! Finally, a Mac version. Yeah!
Just starting out! I have 3 on the “drawing” board, literally. This would be awesome! Meg

I love EQ and am so excited for it to come to the Mac! My most recent design is a breast cancer survivor quilt that will get sent among friends as they battle treatment. When treatment is over, they send it to someone else going through the same battle. Each will add their story of hope to the back of the quilt.
I design my own quilts now, but use grid paper and colored markers! I would totally love to use this software! Thanks for hosting such a great give away!
I’ve so many good things about the EQ7 program. I would love to be able to design my own blocks and quilts. Thank you for offering the opportunity to maybe win one.
Yes, I have designed a few quilts before. I have done some the “old school way” by just putting it up on the board and moving it around and waiting for my muse to slap me! Thanks for the opportunity!
Yes, I have designed a few quilts. I have the EQ company’s Quilt Design Wizard software and although it doesn’t have all the features of EQ7, it does give you the basics for designing. I would love to move up to EQ7! Thanks for the giveaway.
I used EQ years ago, when they first came out with the program and I loved it! I stopped quilting about 12 years ago and just got back into quilting 1 1/2 years ago. This would be the best addition to my growing library. I have several fat quarters of NYC themed fabric and I would use EQ to design a quilt for my son who still lives in NYC. Thanks Christa!
I would love to create a river scene quilt.
I’ve just started quilting. I’m working on designing my first quilt that will include embroidered panels (my other new obsession 🙂 ). Oh, I’m also a Mac user. I’m thrilled to find quilting software finally available for the Mac!
I’ve designed several quilts (traditional patchwork and art), always using graph paper and colored pencils. I can’t wait for EQ for Mac so I can start taking advantage of the technology, and print my own patterns!
I’ve never designed a quilt. Just make them from patterns. I would love to be able to audition fabrics for a quilt and see the results before sewing. EQ7 would be such fun to have and eliminate the anxiety of wondering what the finished quilt will look like. Thank you for the chance to win it.
I have EQ 6 and I’ve designed several quilts using it. It would be great to have the new version!
I love creating quilts. I do T Shirt quilts and Memory Photo quilts. I would love to create patchwork quilts with more intricate designs. I currently work with Quilt Design Wizard but Would Love To be Able to Work With ELECTRIC QUILT 7!
Yes, I have designed my own quilt before. Would love to have EQ to come up with something spectacular.
I’ve been using excel to design my quilts while I patiently (not really) waited for eq7 for the Mac.
If I could design my own quilts I would design one for my bed would love to have something no one else has
I’ve never designed a quilt, although I’ve “tweaked” existing patterns to give them my own spin. I would love to try designing a pattern! Thanks for the giveaway! k(dot)castanette(at)hotmail(dot)com
I’ve never actaully desgined anything, but will have an idea on what I want search sometimes for hours looking for it, to sometiems not even find it. I’ve been saving up for a copy of EQ7, so I would love to win a copy and use the money I’ve saved for some of the add ons.
I’ve designed individual blocks, but never a whole quilt. I’d love to have the skill to design something wonderful in applique.
Sometimes I make up quilts as I go. Depending on the fabric I have and just to make something work that I like. I do this especially on the back of quilts.
Yes I did design a very simple one last year using humble pencil and paper. I’ve used excel to help with layout too but how amazing it would be to use a dedicated quilting program!! Wonderful giveaway, thank you :o)
I’d love to have a copy of EQ7. I’ve designed a few simple quilts (crib size) the hard way – on graph paper. Designing a full size quilt on EQ7 would be a dream come true.
I have only designed ones manually with graph paper. EQ7 would be much easier!!
I designed a few little things myself or adapted patterns but never designed a quilt. It would be fab to have EQ7 to play with. Thanks got the chance l.
I designed a California King quilt for my mother’s 80th birthday. Had to work with a friend to determine what size end pieces since I did machine embroidery on 16 blocks which had all been placed on point.
How I would love to win this! I switched to a Mac awhile ago and I’ve missed my EQ so much. I’ve designed and used it constantly in the past and I would dearly love to have it back. My favourite thing about EQ are all the accompanying texts that are available so I get so much more from the program than others.
Hi! Just found your blog via your Def Lepard comment in Instagram of all things! Anyway I love designing my own quilts. Even if I’m following a pattern I’ll break it down myself first so I get a better idea of how it goes together. I’ll probably still do that even if I won!
Yes, I have designed my own quilts. I used graph paper. I would love to try EQ. I’m sure it would be much easier than the graph paper.
I would love to have EQ for Mac!! The only quilt designing I have done is with colored pencils and graph paper.
Yes I design quilts frequently. Yet after switching to a Mac I have had to do all design work on grid paper. Thank you for finally offering EQ7 for the Mac 😀
I have designed several quilts using paper and trial and error. the iPad apps are too combersume . I am a long time Mac user who has been bugging EQ to create a Mac version. I would love the opportunity to design with EQ on my Mac
I have designed my own quilts. I have never had a program help me, though I am computer savvy, would love to try it. Thanks for the chance.
I have designed one quilt before and want to do so many more!!
Oooh! I want it! 😀 Yes, I’ve designed a few quilts. Usually on Excel. I’ve tried on Illustrator as well, but need to sharpen my skills there. I WANT EQ7!! It has been on my wish list and I’ve been waiting for the Mac version. Thanks for the chance to win. What an awesome giveaway.
