I usually don’t promote companies who sell fabric since that’s an integral part of my business. However, when it comes to Craftsy, I don’t mind singing their praises. They’ve been very good to me in helping get my name out there via their blog, so I don’t mind returning the favor whenever I hear about something cool they are doing. 🙂
I’m kind of partial to the Blue Garden kit, myself!
From now through August 27th, you can win a Craftsy quilt kit (including backing) from one of the two choices above. Craftsy is holding this giveaway on their website, so be sure and click here to enter.
And now, just to sweeten the pot, I’ll add my own giveaway to the fun! I have a heaping pile of hunks and chunks leftover from ends of bolts when I used to sell fabric by the yard. I have a mystery box full of at least 20 yards of premium quality brand new fabric fabric waiting to go to one of you!
Just leave a comment below telling me which Craftsy class is on your “to-watch” list. Pretty soon, I will get back to my habit of regularly reviewing their online classes and I can’t wait. I have quite a few to watch in my queue!
To recap:
- Enter the Craftsy Kit Giveaway here
- To win my mystery fabric giveaway, leave a comment below telling me what’s on your Craftsy bucket list.
- Both giveaways are open to US/Canadian addresses only (sorry – that darn postage gets me everytime!!)
- Both giveaways end Wednesday, August 27th at Noon PST (or slightly later)
- Craftsy will notify their winner; I will notify mine via email.
Updated – Thank you – we have our winners!!
I am looking at the eye Pixel quilt – hope to get it started soon! Thank you!
I like the Bag Making Basics: Drawstring & Bucket Bag and Reversible Tote & Zipper Pouch classes.
I have Sensational Square-agonals in my wish list.
I’m looking forward to “Quilting BIG projects on a small Machine” – I need to move beyond baby quilts!
The class I would love to have is, the Creative Quilting with Your Walking Foot. I have a few of their classes and think they are fantastic.
I’ve got three which I bought recently–Edyta Sitar’s class, plus the two on making a skirt and bodice sloper.
I’d love to take the creative quilting with your walking foot class!
I am interested in free motion quilting and quilt as you go, as well as garment sewing. You encouraged me to go out to Craftsy and put some classes on my wish list.
Right now I am taking the beginner free motion class that you reviewed. It is AWESOME!! It’s one of the best decisions quilting wise I have made. So on my bucket list is probably any you review that is at my quilting level, which is beginner. Thanks for the giveaway!!
There are so many classes I wan to take! But I narrowed it down to 3
Free Simple Quilts
Star Free-Motion Quilting
Master Fountain Paper Piecing
But your tutorial on Introduction to Free Motion Quilting really got me practicing.
Thanks
Quilting Big Projects on Small Machines
I am just discovering curves and all the fun they are…so all of the classes on curve piecing and quilting.
I’d like to try “Design It, Stitch It: Hand Embroidery” or “Quilt-As-You-Go Patchwork Bags”. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!
Many, mostly sewing related, like the 40 Techniques Every Sewer Should Know. But also would like the Improvisational Piecing, Modern Design class on the quilting section. (I will happily, more than happily pay for shipping of your fabric to me in case I am the winner).
I want to watch the civil war quilt class!
I have so many on my list! This is one of them: Sew Better, Sew Faster: Advanced Industry Techniques (i’m in VA)
I still want to see the class on circles, and the one on making gifts, and the walking foot class, I love the classes that are offered by craftsy, and your giveaway, is so generous, thanks so much for all you do for all of us, and I still hope to make my modern quilt, and I have my own design in mind.
It would be just great to win a box of odds and ends of fabric, as I have just started a new line of fabric bowls, how fun it would be to see some great fabric to use for them. I love your blogs, and get a lot out of them. All your insight is very helpful and appreciated. Thanks!
I just got back into quilting when I found the quiltsforkids.org and am loving it. I think I’ll try the BOM class and the creative backs.
I just signed up for the QAYG patchwork bag and Quilting with your walking foot classes….so I need to watch them 🙂

I honestly have SO many on my “to watch” list!! I am in the process of working on my second quilt, so needless to say I have a lot to learn 🙂 “ultimate free motion quilting” is one of the top ones for me! I have only recently discovered how much the actual “quilting” of a quilt can do for it’s look as a whole, and it is beyond amazing what some people are capable of creating with free motion stitching !
So many sewing ones I have on my list, but the one I just saw thru your link, Transform Your Garden Design, really interests me, too, as we have done nothing to our yard since we moved in.
Inspired Modern Quilts: 7 Small Projects With Big Style

‘Designing Modern Quilts’ with Weeks Rinlge…she’s such an inspiration! svonfumetti at yahoo dot com
I have purchased several classes from Craftsy, but have not watched them all yet. I recently watched Amy Gibson’s class on Irish Chains. Next I really want to watch one on machine quilting as this is something I’ve been building up the courage to try. Thanks for the chance!
Thank you for doing a fabric giveaway! I would love to have a mystery box, so l can make a fun project for my daughter and me!
I did Camille Roskelly’s Pre-Cut Piecing Made Simple so that I could get a handle on the swoon quilt – that one is definitely on my list.
Thanks so much for the giveaway, Christa and Craftsy! Mystery boxes of scraps are my favorite! I’m enrolled in several Craftsy classes – the next one on my wish list is Machine Quilting Negative Space. Happy Quilting!
Quilting Big Projects on Small Machines
My Craftsy list is heavy with classes on machine embroidery, freehand quilting, stitched portraits and quilti piecing classes.
I’m pretty sure that I didn’t comment before . . . anyways, my craftsy bucket list class is the sewing vintage: the flirty dress, and my bucket list quilt is the rolling meadows quilt kit. I have scads of sewing patterns and quit blocks on my wish list, so I won’t go there!
Love Craftsy! I have Elements of Design Editing: Machine Embroidery and Finishing School: Edges & Bindings.
I love Craftsy! Thanks for sharing the link. My Craftsy bucket list is long! I’d love to add Kite Flight or Color Band Quilt to my list of UFO’s!
I’m planning to watch the Machine Quilting class I just purchased.
This looks like an amazing mystery win! My Crafty list: Sewing Ready: Machine Basics (to brush up on the basics); Figure Drawing: An Essential Guide (who doesn’t want to know how to draw a person?); Creative Quilt Backs (backs are pretty too); and Free Motion Quilting a Sampler (drop your feed dogs).
Wow! This would be like winning the quilters lottery! Thank you for this amazingly generous giveaway Christa! My bucket list is a couple pages long, like every other quilters, but the next thing on it is a scrappy trip around the world. Thanks also for all the inspiration that you provide. I love your quilting.
The QAYG patchwork bag, I’ve been in love with the pattern since I saw the first bag on one of the blogs I follow! http://www.craftsy.com/class/quilt-as-you-go-patchwork-bags/367?_ct=myixbyij-jyjbu-sbysa&_ctp=1334388
I would loooove a fabric stash! I don’t quite have a robust “stash” – YET! 🙂 I would love to take Piece, Patch, Quilt: Basic Quiltmaking Skills; Basic Fondant Techniques, and the Perfect Pizza at home. These three basically describe my life (minus kids and work).
I would like to take the Creative Quilting with Your Walking Foot class with Jacquie Gering. But I’m also looking at all the FMQ classes and thinking I should take one of those also. So many choices!
i would like to take classes on free motion quilting.
Would love pattern and design, collars and closures
I want to take Angela Walters class Quilting Negative Spaces.
I’m not familiar with Craftsy so I checked it out and found even some free classes which I want to watch such as Bagmaking Basics, and Piece, Patch, Quilt: Basic Quilting Skills. Getting a surprise box in the mail will be like getting an early Christmas Present.
Classes on free motion quilting on a regular sewing machine are helpful. I just found your site and am looking forward to receiving your newsletter and blogs.
