A week later, I’m still basking in the glow of the awesomeness that was QuiltCon. Why don’t we have a giveaway so that I can share some of that awesomeness with you?
QuiltCon Magazine features many of the show quilts plus new original patterns.
First up, is a copy of QuiltCon magazine from Interweave. I was thrilled that two of my quilts were showcased in the magazine so I eagerly bought a copy for myself at the show. The publisher kindly sent me another copy for being a contributor, so I’m happy to pass that along to one of you!
Spiralling Out of Control and Modern X were both featured in QuiltCon Magazine.
Next, I received a bit of swag in my goody bag so I’m happy to offer up this beautiful charm pack of Casablanca by Benartex to one of you!
Here’s How to Enter:
- Leave a comment below, letting me know whether or not you are thinking about attending a future QuiltCon. You can also mention if you were in Austin, or if you followed along virtually!
- I will draw 2 winners at random, one for each prize, and will announce their names on Thursday, March 5th.
- The contest is open to everyone, and comments close Wed, March 4th at 9 PM EST.

I’m not thinking, but unfortunately only dreaming about attending QuiltCon! Living in the Netherlands on a retirement pension, it’s very unlikely I’ll be able to go to that extraordinary event. Thanks to several great bloggers I’ve been able to follow and to see some of the wonderful quilts on exhibit (thank you Christa!!)!
I really want to attend QuiltCon! I would love to see the grandness of it, and meet a bunch of quilters I’ve followed. And, the classes!
I’d love to attend QuiltCon. However, given that I’m almost completely house bound (and said house is in Britain), it’s not very likely!
Alas! I can’t see it happening in the near future. I do enjoy attending vicariously though!
Oh my gosh! I have not been, but I would love to go to Quiltcon. Undortunately, I don’t think I’ll get there unless it conincides with our RV trip thorugh the states. If we’re headed that direction during Quiltcon I will most definitely make certain our itineary includes my attendance. 😉
Congrats on your quilt being published in magazine. There are gorgeous/////1
I’m a bit far away in Australia but would love to go if I suddenly came into some money haha! Until then I follow blogs!
Would love to but cost inhibits me! Thanks for the chance -sru60@aol.com

I would love to go someday but I just watched on line. Looks like everyone had a lot of fun.
I would LOVE to attend QuiltCon some day! But, for now, that is just a dream! Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!
This would be such a treat to attend. I hope to be able to go some year soon. For me, next year, Road to California will be some place I go for the first time. Thanks so much for putting my name in the hat for the drawings, and congrats on being published again!
I have not gone to Quilt Con but I have been following along with all of the blog posts I can find. It must be inspiring to get a large bunch of talented quilters together!
I’m waiting for QuiltCon coming to me 😉 Up to that day I have to content with pictures in the internet – and maybe a magazine 🙂
Liebe Grüße from Germany,
Kathrin
Sorry to say that I won’t be attending future Quiltcons because of the cost involved. I followed all the excitement virtually. Loved it!
Since I live less than an hour from Pasadena, I hope to be able to attend Quiltcon West in 2016.
I had really wanted to attend QuiltCon, but it turned out that I was needed at home unexpectedly last week, so I was glad I hadn’t made plans to go that would have had to be canceled. Now, 2016 in Pasadena? That sounds good to me.
Oh Christa how I would looove to be at Quiltcon some time but just too far for me from South Africa. I have been green with envy reading about your wonderful experience and seeing all the great quilts. But who knows….one day maybe! Thank you for your wonderful posts of pics and newsey bits to keep us informed.
I will definitely attend QuiltCon at some future date. I did enjoy seeing the quilts displayed there and reading the blogs of those who attended.
Love to be able to go. Looks wonderful
I would really love to go to Quiltcon one day. Maybe it will be possible, because a friend of mine will live at the USA for the next three years.
Greetings, Rike
Loved seeing all the quilts from Quiltcon on Facebook. Hope to go next year!
Couldn’t make Austin this year but will be going to a QuiltCon sometime in the near future.
I have never been to Austin, but attending in California could be fun. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the concept of modern quilts, so I would really enjoy one of the gifts.
I followed virtually this year ,next year do not know what will bring…thank you….marta

I would love to attend QuiltCon and maybe one day I will. The distance from my home is what has kept me away. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Through the sharing of attendees’ experiences I almost feel like I was there. Great giveaways. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, I am planning on attending next year in California. Then we could meet up finally!
Hopeful that I’ll be able to attend Quiltcon in the future…followed virtually this year 🙂
Sorry to have missed Quilt Con, but I am planning to see you this weekend in North Carolina, SO excited to make a modern quilt!
I would love either of the gifts…thanks!
I can’t go to any QuiltCon but I can quilt at home. I am a caregiver to my disabled son and elderly Mother so I do not get out much. However! Kathy is my name and quilting is my game! Making quilts gets rid of stress! Thank you for a giveaway! Happy sewing!!
I followed virtually, attending Quiltcon is on my bucket list, I think I will need to save lots of $$$$
I would love to attend ….one never knows when the opportunity may arise all the way from Australia. Congratulations on having two of you quilts published!!!
Wasn’t at QuiltCon, but was at Road to California and saw your quilts there. Unfortunately it’s a long trip from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, so I can only attend one show a year. Maybe QuiltCon next year.
I would love to go if it comes to Sacramento, CA. Or, soon my daughter is moving to Dallas, so if I ever get a chance I will go!! Thanks for the giveaway.
I would love to go next year, with it being on the West coast. Such an opportunity to learn.
I would love to attend, hoping that someday it will be in Oregon.
I would absolutely love to go to Quiltcon! Unfortunately, I was in the process of moving for both of the last spring meetings. Thanks for letting us follow along virtually!!
I would love to go someday. For now I will follow virtually. Thanks!
I didn’t make it to QuiltCon this year but I’m hoping next year in California. We shall see!
