It’s Time for Another Fabric Giveaway – One from Me, One from Craftsy

I usually don’t promote companies who sell fabric since that’s an integral part of my business. However, when it comes to Craftsy, I don’t mind singing their praises. They’ve been very good to me in helping get my name out there via their blog, so I don’t mind returning the favor whenever I hear about something cool they are doing. 🙂

craftsy_kitI’m kind of partial to the Blue Garden kit, myself!

From now through August 27th, you can win a Craftsy quilt kit (including backing) from one of the two choices above. Craftsy is holding this giveaway on their website, so be sure and click here to enter.

And now, just to sweeten the pot, I’ll add my own giveaway to the fun! I have a heaping pile of hunks and chunks leftover from ends of bolts when I used to sell fabric by the yard. I have a mystery box full of at least 20 yards of premium quality brand new fabric fabric waiting to go to one of you!

Just leave a comment below telling me which Craftsy class is on your “to-watch” list. Pretty soon, I will get back to my habit of regularly reviewing their online classes and I can’t wait. I have quite a few to watch in my queue!

To recap:

  • Enter the Craftsy Kit Giveaway here
  • To win my mystery fabric giveaway, leave a comment below telling me what’s on your Craftsy bucket list.
  • Both giveaways are open to US/Canadian addresses only (sorry – that darn postage gets me everytime!!)
  • Both giveaways end Wednesday, August 27th at Noon PST (or slightly later)
  • Craftsy will notify their winner; I will notify mine via email.

Updated – Thank you – we have our winners!!

pattern free quiltmaking with joe the quilter – I watched it through quickly – I often skip forward when the instructors are sewing – but I like the improvisational approach so hope to work through it again making small versions of his projects.

I want to get to the point where I know what fabric I’ll need for each project instead of having to look it all up! Right now i’ve been practicing making toddler dresses and shirts for myself but would love to expand 🙂

I’m interesting in the Fun Techniques With Fabric Paints, Creative Quilting with Your Walking Foot, and Dot-to-Dot Quilting. But I’m anxiously waiting for Craftsy to publish the Android app that is in the works so I can watch my classes on the go.

I have most of the free motion quilting classes on my wish list — there are a few I already have. I would really like to get the knowledge (and courage) to do my own quilting on my machine. Not looking for miracles but would like to do some simple quilting to finish off my projects.

I’ve taken advantage of the 50% off and purchased several machine quilting classes, but the one I’m really looking forward to is the paper piecing class. Missed the instructor when she was here in Las Vegas and really wanted to take that class. Now I can!

I am interested in “Playful Piecing Techniques” for my next class. Although reading the previous post the “Creative Quilting with Your Walking Foot” sounds like a fun class. Loving your blog and all of the great information you share.

My next class will be Continuus Line Quilting. I’ve enjoyed EVERY Craftsy class that I’ve done so far. Thank you for the giveaway!

I love reading your blog. It’s one I make a point to visit, even if I’m short on time. I think Creative Quilting with your Walking Foot is a class I’d really enjoy. I can stipple and meander quite well, but free-motion design is tough for me. I thing having the walking foot as a guide would be right up my alley.

I currently have Jacquie Gering’s “Creative Quilting with Your Walking Foot” and Anne Petersen’s “Quilting Large Projects on a Small Machine” ready and waiting to watch. You were one of the first to spark my interest in Modern Quilting!
