A week later, I’m still basking in the glow of the awesomeness that was QuiltCon. Why don’t we have a giveaway so that I can share some of that awesomeness with you?
QuiltCon Magazine features many of the show quilts plus new original patterns.
First up, is a copy of QuiltCon magazine from Interweave. I was thrilled that two of my quilts were showcased in the magazine so I eagerly bought a copy for myself at the show. The publisher kindly sent me another copy for being a contributor, so I’m happy to pass that along to one of you!
Spiralling Out of Control and Modern X were both featured in QuiltCon Magazine.
Next, I received a bit of swag in my goody bag so I’m happy to offer up this beautiful charm pack of Casablanca by Benartex to one of you!
Here’s How to Enter:
- Leave a comment below, letting me know whether or not you are thinking about attending a future QuiltCon. You can also mention if you were in Austin, or if you followed along virtually!
- I will draw 2 winners at random, one for each prize, and will announce their names on Thursday, March 5th.
- The contest is open to everyone, and comments close Wed, March 4th at 9 PM EST.

I was so fortunate to be able to attend Quilt Con in Austin. It was so inspiring. I hope to attend in Georgia in 2017. I have always wanted to see Savannah. Brought my 2 young grand daughters who enjoyed seeing the quilts and playing the bean bag toss at Moda Bake Shop. (They even won.)
I would love to attend a future QuiltCon but don’t know for sure when that would happen. Since it is being held in Pasadena next year that is much closer to where I live and that makes it more possible for me.
Probably could not go to QuiltCon unless it was somewhere close to where I live! But I followed your blog so was able to follow along!
I would love to go there one day!
Thanks for the chance to win!
I am slightly considering going to Pasadena next year.
Oh great giveaway! I plan to go to QuiltCon 2017. I live in Denmark. I have really enjoyed all your pictures you have shown on IG. It made me so happy knowing, that in two years, I will be there too!
I’m sad I missed it as it was just down the road (I’m in Ft. Worth) and looked like a great show! If it’s in Austin again, I would love to try to get down there. That looks like a fantastic magazine and a beautiful charm pack–both would be fantastic to win. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
Followed Quiltcon on web (mostly your site) Not entering this year, I will try for next year.
Funny you should ask! It’s going to be in Pasadena and then Savannah, I’ve heard. I will attend CA if I can afford it, but if not, I’m definitely going to Savannah. That’s 415 miles from me, and I can drive it in a day – hopefully with a fellow quilter. I don’t consider myself a modern quilter, but I enjoyed a lot of the quilts that were displayed on different blogs, so who knows what will happen in the future? Thanks for the chance to win one of these great prizes. I’m glad you had such a wonderful time!
I just started quilting, so I have not gone to any quilt shows. I hope to make a quilt and enter it in our county fair next year.
I would like to go to Quilt Con, but I will never be healthy enough to go and I go to dialysis 3 times a week. Nancy Hilderbrand gandn74@ymail.com
I would love to someday get to QuiltCon! It would be wonderful! Thanks for the giveaway!
After following your blog for quite a while I am becoming more interested in modern quilting. As a long time (sixty years) quilter this has been so different. I think maybe it was a little scary.
Thank you for opening a great grandmothers eyes to something new and innovative.
Ive never been to quilt con or Texas. Too far away. I bet it’s mind blowing to see all of that quilts goodness in one place.
I followed QuiltCon virtually thru your blog! I would love to go to QuiltCon!
would love either! Yes, I was there and plan to attend again! Thanks
I would love to go to QuiltCon and hopefully will get there someday, first I want to do the Houston Quilt show then QuiltCon. Love your quilts showcased in the magazine.
I was just drooling over the QuiltCon magazine yesterday. I’d love to get a copy!
Hi Christa:
I hope to get to Quiltcon some day, hopefully when it is farther east and a bit farther north. Seeing, and meeting some, of these modern quilters in one place would be a phenomenal opportunity for anyone.
Thank you soooooo much for this chance to win Quiltcon’s Magazibe! I was not there at Austin ’cause I am from Brazil!! But I am crazy for have time and money to take a flight and gp to Passadena to the next Quiltcon!! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
QuiltCon is on my “bucket list”. Hoping to be able to go some time soon.
I didn’t attend Quiltcon in person, but I Inatagram stalked it all weekend! I really wish someone had a live feed the whole event. I will have to do that next year when I attend!!
I was at Quilt Con on Saturday! I saw a couple of your quilts on display. It must be really exciting to se your own quilt in a show! Luckily, my sister lives in San Antonio so it was a short drive to Austin. It was double special to see my sister and the show! Might go next year since it’s in Pasadena and my daughter lives nearby. Thanks for the chance to win!
QuiltCon is a dream of mine. I love everything I hear about it and would love to participate in your giveaway.
I’m kind of a hermit quilter, but all the pictures on IG and various blogs made QuiltCon look like so much fun that I might venture out of my sewing room to attend someday!
I missed it this year but would love to get to it next year, Was able to go to the World Quilt Show in West Palm Beach in January, so much gorgeousness, so much inspiration!!!
I won’t be able to attend Quilt Con the next 2 years, as it will be too far. I’ll have to wait until it’s in the middle of the country again. I really wanted to go this year, but it didn’t work out but I enjoyed following it virtually by reading blogs. Thanks for sharing with us.
Definitely! I had a great time and hope I can swing it again!!!
I would love to attend one day so until then I followed you on Instagram. I love the inspiration! Great job on your quilts.
Oh yes, I am definitely going to QuiltCon in 2016 with my favorite quilting daughter!!! Can’t wait!
I was involved in the international charity quilt which was entered by photo but I am already planning a quilt for the next East Coast Quilt Con which is 2017 I think.
Would love to attend QuiltCon if it were on the East Coast, but Austin sounds nice. What better way to learn about Modern Quilting?
I had to follow along virtually. Trips are not in my future. Love to see all the booths and quilts.
I followed QuiltCon virtually – thanks to you and other wonderful bloggers. Someday I will attend a QuiltCon – I’m sure of it.
I’ve actually booked hotels and airfare for both Quiltcons, but since it coincides with my wedding anniversary, I’ve cancelled both times out of guilt. It feels wrong to do something so very selfish in that weekend, so I’ll probably only go if it’s not that same weekend as my anniversary.
I would love to go to QuiltCon one day! My hubby and I did look at the ones in the next two years but don’t think it will be financially feasible. đŠ But the International Quilt Market in Houston is now on my radar!
Quiltcon yes! Maybe 2016 or 2017…if I can wait that long to absorb all that ENERGY:)
THank you Christa. Followed along virtually this time.
I live in southern California so I do plan to attend Quiltcon2016. I wasn’t able to make this year’s Quiltcon, but I did follow all the action virtually. I am so thankful that quilters love to take pictures and share them an Instagram.
Thank you for your giveaway. QuiltCon looks like a wonderful event. If they come close to Denver, I would go!
No, I don’t have anyone to go with, and I wouldn’t go by myself. LOL!
I’d love to attend QuiltCon one day, but as I live rather far away (Germany) and never have any vacation at that time because there aren’t any school holidays during the second half of February, I either have to wait for a sabbatical or for retirement… LOL
Thanks for the chance!
sadly I did not get to attend, but I was living through all the wonderful photos on social media
I live too far from
Austin but love love love to see the pictures. Love Pinterest and your posts to see what is going on in the quiltimg world!
My goal is to be at QuiltCon next year………Fingers crossed,
I attended the first QuiltCon and had a blast — Even though I didn’t make this one, I will definitely be attending QuiltCon in the future!
I would have loved to go to Quilt Con this time, but could not. I am planning on going next time. It is going to be closer to home and I just retired last week so I would not have to worry about getting time off.
I would love to attend a future Quiltcon… although it may be difficult as I live in Canada, I work full time and the time of year it is held is when it is a major report period đŠ but maybe when I retire….
I wasn’t able to go this year but hopefully, next year or the year after. Fun, fun, fun!!
I wasn’t able to attend Quiltcon this year but I would love to go in the future! I did follow the show in Austin online! It’s always inspiring!
I would love to go to a future QuiltCon.. The quilts are fabulous!
