This week I am having the most wonderful time teaching at the John C. Campbell Folkschool. My students are learning how to make a modern quilt, and I will give a full report next week, once I’m home and rested!
Having a great time at the Folkschool. Wish you were here!!
We’ve been here all week and today is machine quilting day in class. Many of my students have chosen to piece and quilt with Aurifil thread, and they are getting great results!
I love this version of Modern Logs – it’s so graphic and cheerful!
Since you aren’t here with me, enjoy some pretty pictures of my favorite thread collections:
Tula Pink’s Premium Collection
Botanics by Carolyn Friedlander
All of these thread collections and more are available in my thread/precut store!

I can tell from your Instagram feed that you’re in a lovely place, and getting to meet some great people. What a fun experience for you! And an even better learning experience for your students.
I’ve always wanted to learn something there. Love those variegated threads. Love the embroidery threads from Aurifil, too.
That is on my list of places to visit to take classes! Hoping to in the next few years! Enjoy!
I looked up the school online and it looks like such a fun & interesting place! Would love to go to a class with my daughter maybe some time in the fall. I’m sure your students are having a great time!
I hope you are having a great time! It looks like such a fun class.
