I like FQs as far as pre-cuts go, but I often find that I discover a “perfect pattern” for a fabric in my stash, then to discover that I need a LOT more to complete a quilt in the size I’d like. If the fabric is out if print, I’m out of luck. So, sometimes I find myself buying yardage of some fabrics for my stash. That way I’m covered. I like using FQs for planned scrappy quilts. You can get a great variety of fabric with less cash outlay.

I love going through my collection of 10” squares, 5” squares and 2 1/2” squares that I cut when finishing a project. It’s always fun to see these little bits reappear in other quilts..
I buy fabrics that visually appeal whenever I’m in my favourite stores or online. I think I like this and it will appear sometime later in a new quilt… I seldom buy kits, because I loved to lay the fabrics together to make it a design my own…..

I prefer 1/2 yards, which give me more flexibility if I don’t have a specific project in mind when I purchase the yardage.

I usually buy yardage and occasionally fat quarters. I prefer to buy yardage because I can use it for any pattern that I want to make. I also love to make pillowcases for charity and yardage works best for that purpose.

Hi Christa! Love fat quarters and one yard lengths the best, but truly I’m good with any size as it’s easy to get inspired by fabric of any size! 😊. Thanks for bringing this awesome organization to our attention & for your daily emails & website!!!🧵

Fat quarters, definitely! Can’t leave a quilt store without at least 2! I am beginning to gravitate to one yard pieces though.

I like fat quarters as they give you a good sized piece of the entire collection – great for scrappy quilts!

I like fat quarters. They are easy to manipulate and I am able to cut multiple sized pieces from one fabric.

Awesome giveaway! I love that the price of some of their boxes benefit people with disabilities. I like to work with fat quarters, but I often wish I had more yardage of certain pieces. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
