Thanks to my fabulous friends at Robert Kaufman for donating this lovely bundle of Kona Solids for one of you to win!
This is to get you guys jazzed about my upcoming Quilt Along which starts next week!
Included in the bundle are 8 fat quarters of the exact same colors I am using in my version of Abacus. They are: Navy, Turquoise, Baby Blue, Jade Green, Berry, Cerise, Petunia and Pomegranate. Also included is a nice sized chunk of Medium Grey which is what I picked for my background and binding.
Now, you don’t have to quilt along to enter and win, and what you make from these fabrics is entirely up to you! The contest is open to everyone through next Tuesday at noon.

I am joining the abacus quilt along & I do believe it will be my favorite….but I won’t play favorites, I’ll try as many as I can! 😉

I love the Christmas Tree and Chevron quilt alongs. I got to see your Chevron quilt at the Paducah AQS Quilt show. It is beautiful. Congratulations.
My favorite quilt along is the Christmas trees. I actually made it using scraps of Christmas fabric to make a piece of patchwork fabric and then cut out the trees. I was very happy with the results!
I love the charming Chevron and it has become my go-to for baby quilts, I’ve made 4 of them so far (I think nieces/nephews are done having babies for now, whew)
my favs are modern trees and charming chevrons….HOWEVER….I just scored a sizzix big shot at a craft consignment shop in Longmont Colorado for cheap so I think I want to try the abacus quilt, with no fear of injuring myself cutting circles with a rotary cutter!!! I know, I could just use scissors…but I think that may just drive me mad haha.

I’m doing my very first quilt-a-long right now. My LQS is doing the MODA Modern Building Blocks quilt. I hope it will improve my piecing – i.e. a 6 inch block actually turns out to be 6 inches. Yours look fun – I think I prefer the Abacus quilt – very modern. Thanks! notwendy gmail
I too love them all, but my favorite is Baby Bricks. It is so cute and easy to make! I haven’t made the Jolly Jelly Roll Quilt yet but it is on my ‘to do’ list.

I quilted along with you last year making the Modern Trees quilt. My husband was recovering from surgery and we were housebound. Perfect for quality quilting time.
I love circles, so it would have to be this one!
My favorite would have to be String of Pearls. I did not get to sew along the first time around. I have this pattern all cut out and bagged up to make myself a batik version of String of Pearls in the near future. Thanks for the great giveaway.
Tough choice! I would like to make Modern Trees myself, but I was given Sea Of Squares as a gift and love, love, love the quilt! It’s on my bed right now 🙂

I learn so much from all of your quilt alongs just by reading thru them. I have the kits for Sea of Squares (which is my favorite) and Baby Blocks, both blue and pink, and the pastel chevron. I hope this is a good winter for sewing!!

I’m about to start your sea of squares quilt along! I’m going to use blues and purples. I love how you put the piecing time and total time (not that I think I’ll be quite as quick!) it makes it easy to plan a weekend of sewing! What a lovely giveaway too! Thanks for the chance 🙂
