Christa’s Giveaway New Kona Cotton Solid Bundle

How are you all coming on your Abacus Quilt Along? The best part of any group project is seeing how everyone interprets the pattern in their own colors and fabrics. In fact, I have an alternate colorway to share with you today. I call this colorway “Parfait,” using some of the new 2014 Kona Cotton colors with a white background. Isn’t it cheerful?

Thanks to my generous friends at Robert Kaufman, one of you will get to win this lovely bundle! It contains 1 fat quarter of the following colors shown in my sketch above: Heliotrope, Honeysuckle, Grellow, Limelight, Creamsicle, Niagra, Titanium and Nectarine. Plus enough white for the background and binding. Aren’t those fun colors?

Here’s another sketch of what the quilt would look like with the colors in a different arrangement. There’s enough fabric that you can play around and put them in any order you like! Isn’t half the fun of any project picking the fabric placement?

The new Kona colors are so beautiful! It’s really tough to choose just ONE as a favorite…. My choice today is Sangria! It has so many possibilities, I’m going to give it a try.

Oh it’s so nice that they’ve added some of those peachy reds, they make a great addition to the line. I think I would have to choose either Pickle or Watermelon as my favorite of the new colors. Thanks for the chance to win!

It’s really a toss-up between Dahlia and Cabbage. I could surround myself with those colours. Thanks for the chance to win.

I am loving Dahlia with Niagara a very very close second. So hard to choose, so many lovely colors. I think I really need to put a rainbow quilt using only solids on my to do list. 😉 Thanks for the chance!

I buy nothing but Kona! I’d have to say in this collection, the Limelight is my favorite. I use that type of color almost like a “neutral”.

All the colors are gorgeous, but I would pick the purples, especially Morning glory or Dahlia. They would look pretty in the spotlight, or as a background. Titanium would be a great background, too!

It has to be Creamsicle! Not only is it a beautiful shade…but brings back fond memories of a favorite childhood treat.

I haven’t met a Kona Solid I don’t like yet. If I had to choose one, maybe it would be Honeysuckle – it feels like it combines several colors into one.

Malibu is just the prettiest… I want one of each… except for that Pickle color… I’d give that one to my sister who loves her yellow-y greens!
